DESCRIPTIVE VIDEO LENDING LIBRARY
We have movies to watch at home! They're called Descriptive Videos, and are made especially for people with vision loss.
Vision Northwest has a lending library of videos that includes over 100 titles. Each video has a narration that describes the scenery and setting, and sometimes the costuming of the characters. This description takes place when there is no dialog, and enhances the video with more audio information.
These videos are loaned to people with vision loss in Oregon and Southwest Washington, free of charge. Our library collection includes contemporary releases, classics, and films for children.
