Vision Northwest is a not-for-profit organization whose work begins when a person hears from his or her doctor “nothing can be done to save your eyesight.”  Vision Northwest is there for as long as needed to provide support for the emotional and physical adjustments that come after hearing these devastating words.  We serve people with vision loss in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Loss of independence is the one thing that all people who have been diagnosed with a life altering eye condition fear the most; therefore, personal support for independent living has been the watchword of Vision Northwest since 1983.

Vision Northwest recognizes that people need to come together to share their common experiences and learn from each other.  Vision Northwest now coordinates over 45 support groups throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.

We also offer a variety of other services and programs in response to requests from group members over the years.  To find out more about these services click on the links to the left.

Vision Northwest has opened a Low Vision Accessory Store with hundreds of items for people with low vision, all in one location.
